Mathematical Association of Nigeria Holds AGM/Awards Wednesday

The Lagos State Chapter of the Mathematics of the Mathematical Association of Nigeria (MAN) will be holding its Annual General Meeting, Elections and 24th Awards ceremony on Wednesday, November 3 this year.

According to a statement made available to DAB by the State Secretary of the association, Mr Ibrahhem Adebiyi, the event which will hold at Ikeja Grammar School Hall, Bolade, Oshodi, Lagos State from 10 am will feature conferment of awards on distinguished Nigerians.

Guests expected at the event include the Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Ministry of Education, Mr Abolaji Abayomi Abolanle, Head of Department/Director, Lagos State Curriculum Services Department, Mrs Ibukun Esther Adegbamigbe, Director Science and Technology, Lagos State Ministry of Education, Mrs Grace Akinfoyewa.

Others include the families of Late Alhaji Ayo Okuboyejo, former National President of MAN and Late Alhaji M.B.G. Olorunnishola, former State chairman of MAN.

Other past chairmen of MAN expected at the event include Alhaji Rasak Abidemi Jimoh, Alhaji Jubril Adebayo Sulaimon and Pastor Martins Enyinnaya Ukwu.

The event chaired by the Lagos State Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT), Comrade Akintoye Hassan, while the Special Assistant to the Lagos State Governor on Education, Mrs Adetola Salau will be the guest speaker.
